Sunday 2 October: U14 v Ramsbury

This was a very entertaining game, with Ben opening the scoring with a great strike. Ramsbury equalised, either side of Fraser's first goal for the team. Fraser and then Luke gave us a 4-2 half time lead.

Ramsbury came back strongly in the second half and brought the scores level, before a bullet-header from Luke put Wanborough ahead again. Yet again Ramsbury came back to equalise, but Matt didn't give up and sent in a last-minute cross for Fraser to turn in for hs hat trick.

Coaches' Award: Fraser, for his goals and all-round effort.

Squad: Joseph, Connor, Ryan, Max (captain), Ed, Matt G, Fraser, Luke, Jason, Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James

Just a reminder that training will start at 6pm on Tuesday to try and make the most of the light. If it's still light enough we'll finish at 7.15pm, rather than 7pm.

Sunday 25 September: U14 v Greenmeadow Performance (Cup)

This turned out to be a difficult cup match against a good side, who showed some fine finishing skills.  However for the first quarter (and also the last 15 minutes), we played very well and made Greenmeadow work hard to create any opportunities.

Coaches' Award: Max, who turned in another good performance in goal, pulling off some excellent saves.

Squad: Joseph, Max, Ed, Kieran (captain), Fraser, Matt G, Luke, Jason, Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James

Sunday 18 September: U14 v Eldene Rangers

There was little between the two teams, particularly in the first half when Eldene took a 1-0 lead.  Unfortunately we were unable to take our chances and really test their keeper, whilst Eldene made the most of their efforts after the break and took the points.

Coaches' Award: Kieran, who dominated the midfield throughout the match

Squad:  Joseph, Connor, Ryan, Max, Ed, Kieran, Matt G, Fraser, Luke (captain), Jason, Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James

Sunday 11 September: U14 v Greenmeadow A

Finally we scored first, with a fine finish from Max. Unfortunately two goals - the second a freakish deflection from Connor's clearance - gave Greenmeadow a half time lead. The second half was forgettable, as Greenmeadow ran away with the game, although James scored a good goal at the end.

Coaches' Award: Luke, for another strong performance

Squad: Connor, Ryan, Max, Ed, Kieran, Luke, Jason (captain), Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James

Tuesday 6 September: U14 v Cricklade

Once again we allowed the opposition a head start - two goals in the first half, then a third after the break. Unfortunately the come back was too late, as goals from Luke and Ed were not enough and time ran out. Coaches' Award: Jason, for an assured game in defence and midfield Squad: Connor, Ryan, Max, Ed, Kieran, Matt G, Luke, Jason, Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James (captain)
