Sunday 9th December: U15 v Ramsbury

It was another close, evenly balanced game against Ramsbury.  Some defensive lapses allowed Ramsbury to take a half time lead, before a third goal was added in the second half.  An improved second half performance was rewarded with a goal for Fraser.

Squad: Joe, Connor (captain), Ryan, Ed, Kieran, Fraser, Harry, Luke, Harvey, Jason, Matt, Ben and James

Sunday 18th November: U15 v FC Chippenham

After playing very well for the first hour of the match, having chances to take the lead and holding the top of the table side, tiredness allowed Chippenham to win the match with some quick goals, although Joe scored a consolation.

Sunday 21st October: U15 v Eldene Rangers

By all accounts this was an excellent performance and an improvement over recent matches, although it ended in defeat.  Luke got on the score-sheet in the second half.

Coaches' Award: James

Sunday 14th October: U15 v Stratton Youth

The performance in the first half was below-par and there was some bad luck as well, but Stratton deserved their half time lead.  The performance in the second half was much better and an excellent goal from Kieran was the reward, although Stratton scored again late on.

Coaches' Award: Harry

Squad: David (captain), Joe, Connor, Ryan, Ed, Kieran (1), Fraser, Harry, Luke, Declan, Ben and Johan

Sunday 30th September: U15 v Blunsdon Colts

Unfortunately it was a bit of a lacklustre display against Blunsdon, with some tired heads and a few injuries leading to a disappointing performance.  Two early goals from Blunsdon set them on their way, before Luke pulled one back.  Unfortunately there were too many uncontested corners in the second half, which allowed Blunsdon to run away with the match, although Fraser pulled one back.

Coaches' Award: Ben

Squad: David, Joe, Connor, Ryan, Max, Kieran (captain), Fraser (1), Harry, Luke (1), Declan, Jason, Ben and James

Sunday 23 September: U15 v Ramsbury

An excellent first half performance which saw the scores level at the break, after goals from Kieran and Connor, could not be matched in the second half as the team tired.

Coaches' Award:  Kieran

Squad: Joe, Connor (1), Ryan, Kieran (2), Fraser, Jonny, Luke, Declan, Jason, Ben and James

Sunday 16th September: U15 v Chippenham Town Youth (Cup)

Another entertaining game against Chippenham, which ended with exactly the same score as a week previously, but in very different circumstances.  After Fraser gave us the lead, Joe then added a second, before Chippenham pulled one back.  Harry then cracked in a great third goal, before pressure from Chippenham drew them level by half time.  Although there were further chances in the second half, Chippenham took the lead and held on to secure the result with a late breakaway goal.

Coaches' Award: Max, for a fine performance in goal

Squad: Joe (1), Ryan, Connor, Max, Kieran, Fraser (1 pen), Harry (1), Luke, Declan, Ben and James (captain)

Wednesday 12th September: U15 v Avebury

A comfortable win, which was achieved without playing anywhere near our best.  Kieran gave us an early lead, with Max, Joe and Fraser adding further goals before half time, before an unfortunate handball decision gave Avebury a penalty.

There were some good passing moves after the break, but an own goal and another from Fraser were the only reward, either side of another Avebury goal.

Coaches' Award: James

Squad: Joe (1), Ryan, Connor, Max (1), Kieran (1), Fraser (2), Harry (captain), Luke, Declan, Jason, Ben, Stephen and James

Sunday 9th September: U15 v Chippenham Town Youth

A tricky first game lead to a narrow defeat against Chippenham Town Youth.  The main difference between the two sides were a couple of defensive slips and a lack of concentration just after we'd scored.  Joe got two excellent goals, whilst Fraser volleyed an early goal of the season contender.

Coaches' Award: Harry, for an impressive debut.
Squad: Joe (2), Ryan, Max, Kieran, Fraser (1), Jonny, Harry, Luke, Jason, Ben (captain), Stephen and James

Thursday 3 May: U14 v Old Town Utd

The season finished with an excellent match.  After Old Town had scored in the first half, a second half equaliser deflected in by a defender from Johan's cross earned a creditable draw, which wasn't quite enough to finish above Old Town in the final table.

Squad: Joe, Connor, Ryan, Max, Kieran, Tom, Luke, Jason (captain), Matt R, Ben, Stephen (potm), Johan and James

Tuesday 1 May: U14 v Brinkworth Cats R

Another hot striker proved to be the difference between the teams, with too many players looking tired.

Sqyad: Connor, Ryan, Max, Kieran, Fraser (1), Luke (captain), Jason (potm), Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James

Sunday 22nd April: U14 v Croft Juniors

In spite of being top of the table, the only difference between the teams was the speed of the Croft strikers, particularly in the second half.

Squad: Joe, Ryan, Max (captain), Matt G, Fraser (1), Tom, Samuel, Luke (potm - 1), Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James

Wednesday 18th April: U14 v Brinkworth Cats B

Once again Brinkworth provided some dogged opposition and made the team work hard for the win.

Squad: Joe (1), Connor (captain), Ryan, Max (potm), Kieran (1), Matt G, Fraser, Luke, Jason, Matt R (2), Ben, Johan (1) and James

Monday, 16 April 2012

Ramsbury provided tough opponents on a heavy pitch and finished as comfortable winners.

Squad: Joe, Connor (potm), Ryan, Max, Kieran, Fraser (1), Luke, Jason, Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James

Sunday 15th April: U14 v Pinehurst Rangers

A devastating first half display from Joe, with four goals, set up a comfortable victory against Pinehurst, with Luke, Fraser and Max also scoring before the break. After conceding a goal in the second half, Matt R scored the next, before Fraser completed his hat trick and both Connor and Ryan scored for the first time this season.

Coaches' Award: Joe

Monday, 12 March 2012

Sunday 18th March: U14 v Blunsdon Colts

After going a goal behind, Fraser's penalty saw the first half finish level. Kieran's goal from just inside the Blunsdon half put us ahead, before Matt G popped up in the goal area to score and Kieran scored again from a great free kick. Blunsdon were then awarded three goals to take a share of the points.

Coaches' Award: Matt G, for an impressive defensive display, as well as his goal

Squad: Joe, Ryan, Kieran, Matt G, Fraser, Luke, Jason, Matt R, Ben (captain), Stephen and James

Friday, 2 March 2012

Sunday 11th March: U14 v Avebury

After conceding an early goal, the team battled back well to score first half goals through Luke, Ben and Fraser. Ben and Luke both scored again in the second half to seal a comfortable win.

Coaches' Award: Ben, for an inspired performance

Squad: Connor, Ryan, Max, Ed (captain), Kieran, Fraser, Luke, Jason, Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James

Sunday 19th February: U14 v Swindon Supermarine

The match was evenly balanced at half time, with Supermarine taking a narrow lead and Fraser scoring from Max's shot. Unfortunately, in spite of another goal from Fraser, the match ran away from us in the second half.

Coaches' Award: Ed, for a dominant midfield performance

Squad: Joe, Connor, Ryan, Max (captain), Ed, Fraser, Jonny, Luke, Jason, Ben and James

Thursday, 26 January 2012

Sunday 29th January: U14 v Eldene Rangers

This match resulted in a fantastic team performance to prevent Eldene going top of the league. The five defensive players were superb throughout and the midfielders battled for everything, with Matt causing all sorts of problems up front.

After withstanding plenty of pressure from Eldene, Luke coolly chipped the keeper to put us ahead. Eldene eventually found the net as the second half wore on, but everyone kept their heads to prevent them scoring again and we could still have won in the last few minutes.

Captain's Award: Stephen
Coaches' Award: Matt R

Squad: Joe, Connor, Ryan, Max (captain), Ed, Matt G, Luke, Jason, Matt R, Stephen and James

Tuesday, 17 January 2012

Sunday 22nd January: U14 v Greenmeadow P

This was a match where nothing ran for us. After Greenmeadow scored with almost their first chance, we had numerous opportunities to score but failed to do so due to bad luck and incredible defending on the line. Further Greenmeadow goals either side of half time, secured the points, in spite of many more chances.

Coaches' Award: Max

Squad: Joe, Connor, Ryan (captain), Max, Ed, Kieran, Fraser, Luke, Jason, Matt R, Stephen and James

Tuesday, 10 January 2012

Sunday 15th January: U14 v Wroughton Youth

A penalty from Fraser gave us the lead, before Wroughton equalised. Fraser then followed up a shot from Max to secure a half time lead. Unfortunately the second half didn't go our way as the ball refused to go in, whilst two goals from Wroughton won them the points.

Coaches' Award: Ryan, for a dominant game in defence.

Squad: Joe, Ryan, Max, Ed, Kieran, Fraser, Jonny, Matt G, Luke (captain), Jason, Matt R, Ben, Stephen and James
